Representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) met with the representatives of the European Taekwondo Union (ETU) in an online meeting on December 8.

Following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding in 2018, the aim of the meeting was to establish not only formal but also operational relations between the two organisations.



Several practical agreements were made between ETU and EUSA, which should be reflected already at the European Universities Games 2022 in Lodz.

On behalf of EUSA the meeting was attended by Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Sport Manager Mr Miha Zvan, Technical Delegate for Taekwondo Mr Nuri Shirali and Assistant Mr Mariano Carcatella. On behalf of ETU, the meeting was attended by Secretary General Mr Antonio Barbarino, Director-General Mr Kenneth Schunken, Sport Director Mr Ioannis Mouroutsos.
