EUSA EC meets to conclude 2022
Members of the Executive Committee of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) met online on December 19, for the last meeting of the year.
The meeting started with a welcome speech by EUSA President Mr Adam Roczek and an overview of the past activities, presented by EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik.
The outgoing year was a successful one for EUSA, having witnessed an impressive edition of the European Universities Games in Lodz, as well as the European Universities Rowing Championship in Istanbul. Apart from the sports events, EUSA and its Institute were also active in several projects, co-funded by Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes of the European Union and by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
With the opening of registrations for the European Universities Championships 2023, the members were also presented progress on the upcoming sports events. EUSA member associations are invited to register their teams; with February 15 and March 15 being the registration deadlines.
In 2023, EUSA will also organise EUSA-FISU seminar in Val di Zoldo (ITA) between March 23 and 26, inviting its members to discuss key topics related to university sport and their work. Details will be communicated in January, when also registration will open.
EUSA Executive Committee members also confirmed changes in internal regulations and discussed the activity plan and finances. The meeting concluded in festive spirits, as the participants expressed their wishes for peaceful, friendly and prosperous year.
