On the occasion of the 25th Winter Universiade in Erzurum, the EUSA Executive Committee Members present in Turkey met for an informal meeting. The members were welcomed by EUSA President Mr Alberto Gualtieri who thanked at the beginning Mr Kemal Tamer, President of the Turkish University Sports Federation for having the opportunity to meet during this world largest university winter sport event.

 

The members discussed the topics connected to the upcoming General Assembly in Eilat, the organisation of European Universities Badminton Championship 2011 to be held in Kharkow, Ukraine in June 2011 and projects on the international university sports field. Mr. Omar Al Hai from United Arab Emirates was invited to present the World University Football Cup to be organised in Abu Dhabi at the end of this year.

 

The members agreed to postpone the deadline for letters of intentions to be sent for organisation of the EUC 2013 by March 15, 2011. This however does not go for Badminton, Basketball, Volleyball, Rowing, Handball, Karate and Futsal for which intentions have already been received by several countries.

 

Executive Committee members will meet next just before the Annual General Assembly, which will be held March 3-6 in Eilat, Israel.
