EUSA EC meeting 03-2010: Day 2

The EUSA Executive Committee Meeting concluded yesterday in Novi Sad, Serbia. In the morning, the EUSA representatives led by the President Mr. Alberto Gualtieri met with the Director of the Sports Academy Belgrade Mr. Aleksandar Lukman, M.Sc. and Mr. Leon Lukman, one of the founders of the Academy. The Academy is founded by the Olympic Committee Serbia, the City of Belgrade, Mr. Leon Lukman and two famous sports societies Crvena Zvezda and Partizan. The participants discussed the future mutual collaboration on the field of the university sport and agreed to sign the memorandum on cooperation in the near future.

After that a reception was held for the EUSA Executive Committee in the City Hall. The City Councillor for Sport and Youth Mr. Aleksandar Kravić welcomed the guests. In his speech Mr. Gualtieri thanked the host for the welcome and presented him the EUSA Plaquette. 'Novi Sad organised three European and two World University Championships in the last ten years and we are grateful for the affection to the university sports the City shows' EUSA President added.

Reception at the City Council

During the EUSA Executive Committee Meeting in Novi Sad a special recognition was given to Mr. Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Secretary General. On behalf of Mr. Dmitry Medvedev, the President of the Russian Federation, a special medal and diploma were presented by Mr. Oleg Matytsin, the President of the Russian Students Sport Union to Mr. Pecovnik for his contribution to the development of the International Sport.

The next EUSA Executive Committee Meeting will be held in Eilat, Israel on March 3, 2011.
