The second day of the EUSA Executive Committee Meeting 02-2011, which is taking place in Warsaw, Poland between June 3 and 5, 2011 was focused mainly on international relations and cooperation.

The meeting on Saturday was hosted by the largest university in Poland – the University of Warsaw, established in 1816. On behalf of the Lady Rector, Professor Katarzyna Chałasińska-Macukow, the Executive Committee members were welcomed by the student representative and athlete Mrs Halszka Witkowska. EUSA President Mr Alberto Gualtieri thanked Mrs Witkowska for the hospitality and warm welcome, and presented the EUSA Book as a token of gratitude.



The Polish University Sport Association (AZS) presented a film on the history of the association, with special focus on the involvement of AZS in international institutions, especially in FISU and EUSA.



The meeting continued with the presentation of the Gender Equality working group  by Mr Aitor Canibe Sanchez, its chairman. He reported on the activity of the working group, the results of the survey conducted among EUSA member associations and the cooperation on the topic of gender equality with FISU.



EUSA President Mr Alberto Gualtieri  and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik informed the EC members about the cooperation and development of the national university sports association which were visited by EUSA representatives in the past period, and the new activities carried out in these countries.



Mr Gualtieri then gave a report of the cooperation with other organisations, continental university sports organisations and the International University Sports Federation (FISU). He also presented the main outcomes of the FISU EC meeting which took place in Lausanne end of May. A debate on the future plans and outcomes followed. The meeting concluded by EUSA President thanking the AZS for hosting the meeting in a professional and friendly atmosphere.



After the meeting, a sightseeing tour was organised for everyone, and the meeting concluded by an informal dinner on the old city center.



The next EUSA Executive Committee will take place in Kiev, Ukraine on September 23 and 24, 2011.
