EUSA EC Meeting
The 3rd EUSA Executive Committee Meeting in 2006 took place on October 6 & 7, 2006 in Paris, France. The meeting started with welcome speeches from Mr. Jose Savoye, the President of the French University Sports Federation (FNSU), Mr. Henri Sérandour, the President and Mr. Claude Gallien, the Vice President of the French Olympic Committee (FOC). The EUSA President Alberto Gualtieri welcomed all the members of the Executive Committee and thanked the President of the FNSU and FOC for the organisation of the meeting.
At the meeting, the following decisions were made, among the others:
1. The EUC 2007 Rugby7 is attributed to French University Sports Federation. The event will take place in Paris in September 2007.
2. The following dates of the EUC 2007 were confirmed:

- Karate Podgorica MNE July - to be determined

- Rowing Girona ESP 03.09.-06.09.2007
- Badminton St.Peterburg RUS September - to be determined

3. Suspensions:
- The National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (GRE) is excluded for the next 2-year period from the EUC Football because of the physical aggression on the referee during the EUC 2006.
- The University of Rheims (FRA) is suspended from EUC Rowing for 2 years because of two withdrawals in the last two years without notifications.
- The Bilgi University (TUR) is suspended from EUC Handball for one year because of leaving the EUC before the end of the competition.
- The NUSA of Cyprus is warned before exclusion of the Frederick Institute from EUC Basketball because of an inappropriate behaviour of the team on the last two EUC.
4. The awards for the Best University and Fair Play for the EUC will be awarded from 2007 on. The awards will be presented on the EUSA GA, the Rectors of the awarded institutions to be invited to the assembly.
5. The Convention for the organisers of EUSA events in 2007 will be organised in Valencia / ESP on Friday, December 3, 2006 in the afternoon. Up to two representatives from the Organising Committees EUC 2007 will be invited to the Convention, together with the newly appointed Technical Delegates.
6. The EUSA Symposium will be held in St. Petersburg / RUS in September 2007.
7. The Executive Committee nominated the following Technical Delegates for the next two years:
- Basketball: Peter George (GER), Zarko Varajic (SRB)
- Volleyball: Lenny Barry (GBR), Suleyman Kocasert (TUR)
- Handball: Frantisek Taborsky (CZE), Pascal Denoyer (FRA)
- Futsal: Patrik Perosa (SLO), Antonis Petrou (CYP)
- Beach Volleyball: Jean Loup Miquet (FRA), Daniela Erni (SUI)
- Rowing: Nigel Mayglothling (GBR), Josip Kostelic (CRO)
- Football: Stylianou Sofokles (CYP), second to be nominated
- Karate: Rajko Vujosevic (MNE)
- Table Tennis: Andrzej Hrehorowicz (POL)
- Tennis: Nick Grivas (GRE)
- Badminton: Bastian Kruse (GER)
- Rugby 7s: Bob Reeves (GBR)
