The EUSA CUP in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics successfully finished on March 28, 2009 in Wroclaw (POL). 6 University teams from 5 European countries (Turkey, Ukraine, Poland, Estonia and Russia) took part in the event organised by University Sports Association of Poland (AZS).

The Opening Ceremony was held on March 27 at the University School of Medicine sports hall. Mr. Adam Roczek, deputy chair of AZS and EUSA representative, welcomed all the participants and thanked the University of Wroclaw, the University School of Medicine, the Wroclaw City Council and the Lower Silesia Regional Government for supporting organisation of the event.

 

Mrs Paivi Ahlroos-Tanttu, the chair of International Federation of Aesthetic Group Gymnastics (IFAGG) technical commission welcomed on behalf of the IFAGG all the participants and wished them a lot of successes during the event. She also thanked the AZS Wroclaw for the organisation of the EUSA CUP. Prof. Teresa Los Nowak Rector of Wroclaw University warmly welcomed participants and wished them a lot of successes and pleasant stay in Wroclaw.

After 2 days full of emotion competition the title of EUSA CUP 2009 Winner went to Rostov on Don Institute of Physical Culture and Sport (RUS).

For the first time, team representing Turkish University Sports Federation took part in the event (Celal Bayar University Manisa).
