EUSA celebrates International Students Day 2017
The International Students’ Day is celebrated all around the world on November 17th. This year, the focus is on quality and inclusive education. European University Sports Association (EUSA) again joins the campaign, giving special attention to the equal opportunities for athletes in higher education and the topic of dual career. The date of 17th November was chosen to be the International Students’ Day due to the events that unfolded in Prague during World War II. Nine students were executed without trail in concentration camps on the 17th November 1939. Nowadays, November 17 marks a celebration of multiculturalism of international students.
Especially today, on November 17, we support also the initiatives of the European Students' Union (ESU) and have the opportunity to encourage and support individuals and groups of students, organisations and others fighting for students rights.
