The Opening Ceremony of the 1st EUSA Billiards Cup took place on 11 August in Tallinn at Baribal billiards club.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee participants were welcomed by Estonian Academic Sports federation secretary Tarmo Jaakson and OC member Artjom Beresnev. The Ceremony was also attended by the chairman of the Estonian Pool Federation Mr Juri Talu.

 

The competition is organized by the Estonian Academic Sports Federation together with Estonian Pool Federation. Estonian Pool Federation shared their experience in organizing international pool competitions. They will make sure that the event goes smoothly and without problems.

The Competition is taking place between August 9 and 14, and is hosting 11 University teams from four countries: Estonia, United Kingdom, Norway and Finland.

 

European Universities Cup is played for the first time so the winner will go into academic billiards history as first to win such an event.
