EUSA attends ENGSO Youth meeting

EUSA was present at the committee meeting of the youth sector of the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO), further strengthening relationships between the two organisations.

ENGSO Youth is the non-profit youth organisation of ENGSO which focuses on the European youth Sport for All sector which promotes topics such as sport diplomacy, health, social inclusion, education and employability, sport diplomacy.

EUSA has been a partner of ENGSO for almost a decade, first joining forces on a transnational project EADIN (European Anti-Doping Initiative) in 2010 ahead of the signing of the two organisations’ official Memorandum of Understanding in 2014.

On the occasion of their committee meeting held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, EUSA was in attendance to present the association to ENGSO Youth’s new committee members while discussing potential future collaboration.

Present on behalf of EUSA was Communications Officer Mr Fabio De Dominicis.

Following introductions and a presentation of EUSA, a question-and-answer session was held before discussions were had over building on the current relationship and ties between the two organisations, with ENGSO Youth expressing interest at being part of the educational programme at next year’s European Universities Games in Belgrade, Serbia.

ENGSO is currently in partnership with EUSA on an ErasmusPlus-funded project Skills for You(th) through Sport (SK4YS) which aims to raise awareness of soft skills and competences learnt through sport and implement them through sport-based employment programmes.
