EUSA attends 2016/2017 Croatian University Sport Awards Ceremony

On invitation of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation (CASF), representatives of the European University Sports Association (EUSA) – Mr Besim Aliti, EUSA Sports Manager and Mr Liam Smith, Sport Operations Specialist visited Zagreb on March 22, 2018, to attend the annual Croatian University Sport awards presentation in the University of Zagreb’s Rectors Office.

CASF Presdient, Mr Zrinko Custonja addressed the university sport athletes and professionals who were in attendance, thanking them for their hard work and dedication to the university sports movement in Croatia.

 

University of Zagreb’s Rector, Mr Damir Boras welcomed the attendees of the ceremony to the University of Zagreb, highlighting the work of CASF and their role in improving university sport in Zagreb and across the nation.

 

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Croatian Sport Secretariat, Croatian Olympic academy, university sport centres from across Croatia, along with the award recipients which included university sport teams, individuals, and professionals.

 

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the award winners for their achievements within university sport in recent years, we wish them all the best in their studies, and hope to see some of them at the European Universities Games Coimbra 2018 this July.

 

Amongst the award winners, Mr Mladen Sedar from the University of Zagreb was presented with a lifetime achievement award for his more than 40 years active contribution to university sport. EUSA congratulates Mr Sedar for this great achievement and his hard work within the university sport field.
