The 4th edition of the European Para Youth Games (EPYG) took place in Croatian town Varazdin between July16 and 18, 2015. No less than 233 athletes from 22 countries attended the event.

The EPYG was organised by the Croatian Paralympic Committee (HPO), sanctioned by the European Paralympic Committee (PEC), and was comprised of four sports: Athletics, Swimming (25m), Table Tennis and Boccia, aiming to provide an opportunity for young athletes to compete in sanctioned and high-quality competition.



The official Opening and Closing were held at the Kapucinski Square in downtown Varazdin, in presence of the representatives of the European Paralympic Committee (EPC), Croatian Paralympic Committee (HPO), Ministries, City officials, European University Sports Association (EUSA) and other partners.



EUSA was represented at the event by Mr Patrik Perosa, Sports Manager, who also took the opportunity to discuss the preparations for the EUG 2016 with the representatives of EPC, HPO, local organisers and technical delegates for para disciplines.



Swimming and Table Tennis are two of the sports that will also be on the programme of the European Universities Games Zagreb-Rijeka 2016, with special categories for students with disabilities.



Preparations for the next year's main EUSA event are in full swing. Competitions for students with disabilities will be organised in swimming and table tennis for all classification codes. Regulations and other details will be available this fall.
