EUSA at the EPC Congress and Assembly 2015
On the invitation of the European Paralympic Committee (EPC), the European University Sports Association (EUSA) participated at the EPC Congress and Assembly that took place in Lisbon, Portugal on October 2-3, 2015.
During the Congress, the representatives of the National Paralympic Committees had the opportunity to learn more about the recent cooperation between EUSA and EPC, as well as to receive detailed information on the organization of the upcoming European Universities Games (EUG2016), which will for the first time host also the events for students with disabilities next year in Zagreb and Rijeka.
The delegates also learned about the Online MBA Scholarship Programme, which started recently as a part of EUG 2016 activities. The details were presented by Mr Marko Zunic, Secretary General of EUG 2016 and Mr Mihovil Spanja, former student athlete in para-swimming.
Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Secretary General thanked the European Paralympic Committee for the invitation and successful cooperation and presented the delegates the activities of EUSA and overview on the common projects.
Mr Pecovnik concluded his address by inviting the participants to promote the EUSA Games among their members and presented the EUSA Plaque to EPC President Mr John Peterson.
