EUSA at the 17th ENAS Conference in Lille
Hosted by the University of Lille, France, the 17th ENAS Conference took place between November 4 and 7, 2014. Since 1997, the European Network of Academic Sports Services (ENAS) brings together representatives of more than 100 Universities and University Sports Associations from over 20 European countries.
This year's Conference took place under the topic: "Innovation: Maximise Your Potential". Furthermore, subtitles were: "Managing the Future - Student Engagement - Broadening Your Horizon" to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in an academic environment.
The event started on Tuesday with the tour of the campus and Opening ceremony and Welcome reception. The following day the participants were welcomed by ENAS President Mrs Michelle Tanner officially openened the conference and the day continued with plenary keynote speeches until the afternoon, where parallel workshops were organised.
The European University Sports Association (EUSA) was present at the Conference, being represented by Mr Arie Rosenzweig, Executive Committee member. Mr Rosenzweig held one of the workshops, presenting EUSA opportunities and activities in 2015.
Tursday saw more plenary panels, including a presentation by FISU Assessor Alison Odell on students as innovators. Discussion group workshops followed in the afternoon. The conference concluded on Friday with the last presentations, followed by the ENAS General Assembly in the aftrenoon and the ENAS Award & Closing Conference Dinner in the evening.
