EUSA at ISCA's 2015 seminar and workshops

On the invitation of the International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA), European University Sports Association (EUSA) was represented by its Communications and Projects Manager Mr Andrej Pisl, who attended their seminar with workshops in Sofia, Bulgaria between March 6 and 8, 2015.

The seminar and workshops were attended by 60 representatives of over 30 national sports-for-all organisations, partners, ISCA staff and volunteers, and the main purpose was review of the NowWeMove initiative and Move Week campaign. Move Week is one of the successful projects that promotes physical activity, recreation and sport. In 2014, it activated over 1 million of European citizens, and in 2015 it joins the European Week(s) of Sport in September.

Presentations at the workshops

The participants had a busy schedule and among others they were able to look at some good practices, discuss and plan new ideas and initiatives, review media and marketing strategies and in general brainstorm on several areas, including partnerships and fundraising.

EUSA Communications and Projects Manager Mr Pisl took part in the seminar and workshops, where he was able to present EUSA as the continental governing body on university sport, highlighting some of its activities and projects.

EUSA and ISCA are currently involved in the EU funded project, lead by ENGSO Youth, Sport Employs YOUrope. ISCA representative will present the Move Week campaign at the EUSA Conference later this March, and the organisations are exploring other fields of mutual cooperation and partnership.
