Secretary General of the European Universities Sports Association (EUSA) Mr Matjaz Pecovnik welcomed Secretary General of the WAKO European Kickboxing Federation (WAKO Europe) Mr Srdjan Bugarcic at a working meeting in Ljubljana on June 23, discussing possibilities of introducing kickboxing in the program of European Universities Championships in the future.

The meeting started with a more detailed presentation of both organisations. EUSA Secretary General Mr Pecovnik presented the EUSA Sports Program and its characteristics and WAKO Europe Secretary General Mr Bugarcic expressed genuine interest of having Kickboxing in the EUSA Sports Program.



The meeting was a follow-up to the initial meeting in October 2016 where EUSA and WAKO Europe agreed to open discussion for cooperation possibilities. EUSA and WAKO Europe representatives agreed to do a further analysis and keep the dialogue open, setting some additional meetings to further evaluate the cooperation possibilities.
