EUSA and European Rowing working towards future cooperation

An online introductory meeting with representatives of European Rowing and the European University Sports Association (EUSA) was held on December 9, discussing possible cooperation and activities.

On behalf of EUSA, the meeting was attended by President, Adam Roczek; Secretary General, Matjaz Pecovnik; Events Manager, Liam Smith; Sports Manager, Miha Zvan.

On behalf of European Rowing, the meeting was attended by President Annamarie Phelps, Secretary Eva Szanto, board members Dusan Machacek, Neville Tanzer, Algirdas Raslanas, and World Rowing Events Coordinator Jodie Cameron.

Following introductions of each organisation and a summary of EUSA’s Rowing recent and future events, many different topics were discussed, all with the aim of strengthening university Rowing in Europe. Both organisations agreed to continue working alongside each other in the coming months, and to meet in the near future to further secure the cooperation.

After last summer's successful edition in Zagreb, Croatia, EUSA European Universities Rowing Championship will return for the 2025 edition in Bydgoszcz, Poland, next September 18-21.
