EUSA and EKF sign memorandum of understanding

At the occasion of the EUSA Conference in Coimbra, the European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the European Karate Federation (EKF) solemnly signed a Memorandum of Understanding on April 8, 2017.

The memorandum signals the willingness and desire of both organisations to work together, ensuring best conditions for karate events at the European Universities Championships and European Universities Games and contributing to the promotion of the sport on university level in general.

The memorandum was signed behalf of the EKF by its Secretary General Mr Stjepan Celan and on behalf of EUSA its President Mr Adam Roczek. In his speech upon signing the memorandum, EUSA President Mr Roczek thanked EKF for their support and for improving the conditions for student athletes taking part in EUSA events.  EKF Secretary General Mr Celan expressed his satisfaction about the cooperation and development of karate on university level also on behalf of EKF President Mr Antonio Espinos.

Next European Universities Karate Championship will be held in Coimbra, Portugal, between July 24 and 27, 2017. Registrations are still open, so participants are invited to register through the national university sports body in their country.
