EUSA and EKF meeting during Karate World Championships in Linz

During the 2016 Karate World Championships, taking place between October 25 and 30 in Linz, Austria - the first Karate World Championships after karate was selected as an Olympic sport for Tokyo 2020, a meeting between representatives of European University Sports Association (EUSA) and the European Karate Federation (EKF) took place.

EUSA Technical Delegate for Karate Mr Besim Aliti, accompanied by Mr Ante Cutura, delegate during the European Universities Games 2016 (EUG 2016), met the representatives of EKF -  EKF President Mr Antonio Espinos, Secretary General Mr Stjepan Celan, accompanied by Mr Davor Cipek, Secretary General of the Croatian Karate Union.

Both parties, EUSA and EKF, expressed their satisfaction about the Karate event that was held in Zagreb during EUG 2016 and belief that this will serve as a platform for future collaboration between EUSA and EKF.

EKF appointed Mr Cipek, as a person responsible for communication between EUSA and EKF and will lead the coordination between the two parties.
