EUSA and EHF meet in Vienna

European University Sports Association (EUSA) represented by its President Mr Adam Roczek and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik met with the representatives of the European Handball Federation (EHF) on a working meeting at the EHF Headquarters in Vienna on June 26, 2015. EHF was represented by its President Mr Jean Brihault, Secretary General Mr Michael Wiederer, as well as Mr Helmut Horitsch, EHF Competence Academy & Network Coordinator and Mr Vlado Rancik, BU refereeing.

The participants reviewed the cooperation between both organizations and discussed the possibilities for further promotion and popularization of handball between student population as well as promotion of the upcoming European Universities Handball Championships and European Universities Games.

The current situation on entries and preparation for the organization of the EHF clinic for young referees during the European Universities Handball Championship, which will take place in Braga (POR) from August 2-8, 2015, was also presented and analysed, together with the preparations for the European Universities Games in Zagreb-Rijeka and the details of the EHF European Beach Handball Tour.

EHF and EUSA have been successfully cooperating for several years, formally signing a cooperation agreement in 2012 and. Recently, both organisations also signed the partnership agreement with European Commission for the European Week of Sport.
