EUSA activities in Kazan
Besides taking part on the FISU Executive Committee Meeting and General Assembly, EUSA Representatives Mr Adam Roczek, President and Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, Secretary General are having several other meetings in Kazan.
Amongst other, they hold a meeting with the FISU Committee for the Development of University Sport in presence of Mr Stefan Bergh, Chair, Mrs Alison Odell, first Vice-Chair of the CDSU, Mr Laurent Briel, FISU Director of Development and Special Projects and Mrs Nicole Mangelschots, Executive Assistant. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the EUSA Projects for 2014-2015, the final, progress and audit reports for the projects 2012-2013 as well as the future cooperation between CDSU and EUSA.
Mr Pecovnik had a meeting also with Mr Cedric Rigoli, representative of KPMG, an audit company which does the audit of EUSA projects, in order to discuss the future cooperation between the two organisations.
EUSA representatives also met with the delegation of the Swedish University Sports Federation (SAIF) which recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary. On that occasion Mr Roczek congratulated Mr Sture Espwall, President of SAIF and presented him a special EUSA award.
EUSA president and Secretary General held several meetings with the representatives of the National University Sports Associations from Europe being present in Kazan as well as took part on several receptions offered by the FISU, Organising Committee or Countries present at the Universiade.
During the 27th Summer Universiade, EUSA Executive Committee Members present in Kazan, also met on an informal lunch meeting to discuss the actual matters. EUSA President gave a short recap on the recent activities and thanked again the representatives of Croatia and Portugal for presenting such quality bids for organisation of the European Universities Games in 2016. Until the end of the event, some other meetings with our members and partners are still foreseen.
