EUSA 2024-25 Magazine published

The European University Sports Association (EUSA) has released the latest edition of its annual publication—the EUSA Year Magazine 2024-25—providing a comprehensive recap of the European Universities Games 2024 and highlighting various events and projects.
This edition offers an in-depth overview of EUSA’s flagship competitions, along with other key activities undertaken throughout the year. Readers will find a welcome message from the EUSA President, as well as updated details on the organization’s structure, including its member associations, Executive Committee, Commissions, and Secretariat.
A significant portion of the magazine highlights the European Universities Games, held in Debrecen and Miskolc, Hungary, where thousands of student-athletes from across Europe came together to compete in a diverse range of sports. Alongside key insights and statistics, the magazine provides an in-depth overview of all 18 sports, offering a detailed look into the competitions.
A special highlight of the event was the EUSA 25th Anniversary Gala, celebrating a quarter-century of promoting university sports across Europe. The gala brought together key figures, athletes, and stakeholders to reflect on EUSA’s achievements and future vision, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity, excellence, and the development of university sports.
The magazine also presents detailed reports on a wide range of events, conventions, and meetings organized by EUSA over the past year, highlighting its ongoing commitment to fostering dialogue, collaboration, and engagement within the university sports community. It further showcases educational initiatives, leadership seminars, and EUSA-endorsed events carried out under EUSA’s patronage, all aimed at advancing university sports across Europe.
A special section honors the EUSA Awards, highlighting the exceptional contributions of individuals, universities, and associations to the development of European university sport.
The magazine also delves into EUSA’s diverse projects, showcasing its efforts in key areas such as the Associated Members programme, Equal Opportunities, Fair Play, and Dual Careers. Furthermore, it features initiatives like the EUSA Volunteer Programme, the University Sport Exhibition, and the EUSA Club of Donors, demonstrating EUSA’s commitment to fostering engagement, inclusivity, and excellence in university sports.
Special attention is given to the International Day of University Sport (IDUS) and the European Week of Sport, held under the #BeActive campaign, promoting physical activity across Europe.
Furthermore, the magazine introduces several EU-funded projects where EUSA is actively involved, either as a lead or partner. Looking ahead, the final chapter provides insights into upcoming future programme of EUSA events, including the European Universities Games 2026 in Salerno, European Universities Games 2028 in Split, European Universities Games 2030 in Granada, and an overview of the European Universities Championships 2025.
