Although the European Universities Games 2016 (EUG2016) in Zagreb and Rijeka just finished last month, the preparation for the new editions of the Games are underway, both Coimbra 2018 and also already Belgrade 2020.

Representatives of the Organising Committee in Coimbra visited the EUG2016, paying special attention to the organisation and management of the event. They also actively promoted the European Universities Games 2018 (EUG2018), which will take place July 2018 in Coimbra, Portugal.



Coimbra delegation was lead EUG2018 Secretary General Mr Mario Santos and consisted also of President of the Portuguese Academic Federation of University Sport Mr Daniel Monteiro and Secretary General Mr Manuel Veloso, with the attendance of the Rector of the University of Coimbra Mr Joao Gabriel Silva and other representatives.



Present in Zagreb and Rijeka were also the hosts of the European Universities Games 2020, to take place in Belgrade, Serbia. Within the delegation were the President of the University Sport Federation of Serbia Mr Sinisa Jasnic, the Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Mr Vanja Udovicic, Vice-Rector of the University of Belgrade Mrs Ivanka Popovic and other representatives.
