It was the second day of the Karate competition, with the finals scheduled for tomorrow. Today featured more rounds, as athletes competed for their placements in the finals in their designated categories. The atmosphere was electric for the team competitions in both kata and kumite. We had the opportunity to watch the women’s kata semi-final, where the University of Porto (POR) faced off against Eötvös Loránd University (HUN). The Porto team shared with us that they are also the national team of Portugal, so they are accustomed to competing at the international level. Their only goal is to bring back the gold medal to their home university. Let’s see tomorrow if their goal becomes a reality! It's going to be an exciting day on the karate tatami.
