The fourth day of the competitions at the European Universities Games 2022 Lodz included: Chess, Beach Volleyball, Para Table Tennis, Futsal, 3X3 Basketball, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Tennis and Water Polo.

The first part of the day, the finals and awards ceremony unfolded for Chess competition. Four categories got awards for both men and women: blitz individual, blitz team, rapid individual, and rapid team tournaments. We can note the impressive performance of Ms Alicja Śliwicka representing Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, the first of the women tournament with a total of 2 gold medal, 1 gold cup and 1 silver cup.

It was heated on the semi-final of Beach Volleyball that was happening this early evening. In the men competition, University of Rennes 1 won the semi-final 1 against Lodz University of Technology. 

The Futsal Women preliminary round took place in Zatoka Sportu. Jagiellonian University and the University Palacky Olomouc played the match which ended to a draw. 

In the meantime also in Geyers’ Garden, the quarter finals of 3X3 Basketball took place. The University of Aveiro won its quarter final match against Solent university. 

It was not an ordinary day for players of Sitting Volleyball. They had a match that took place in the afternoon as a promo sport, part of the program of European Universites Games 2022. Men and women players from Poland played in Arena Sport.

More competitons, semi-finals and finals are coming up in the next days for these sports. Matches for the win are going to be played and medals and cups are going to be awarded.
