On 29 of July, the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games in 2024 Debrecen-Miskolc, Hungary, held a reception on which were invited the Heads of Delegations, NUSA officials, EUSA representatives and representatives from the Organizational Committee of this year’s edition of the Games. 

The guests were welcomed by Mr Zoltan Rakaczki, Board member of the Hungarian University Sports Federation, who spoke on behalf of the whole organizational committee of the next edition of the European Universities Games 2024 Debrecen- Miskolc.

Present along with Mr Rakaczki, as part of the Organizational Committee of the next edition of the Games, were Ms Zita Horváth Rector of the University of Miskolc, Mr Péter Szűcs Vice Rector of University of Miskolc, Mr László Balogh, Director of the Institute of Sport Sciences of University of Debrecen, Mr László Borkuti Sports, Public Education and Tourism Advisor of the mayor of City of Miskolc, Deputy Secretary General of the HUSF, Mr György Kovács and Head of local Organizing Committee in Miskolc Mr Tamás Kása. 

Mr Rakaczki explained a bit the structure of the Organizational Committee, that is a collaboration between the two cities of Debrecen and Miskolc. He also shared that the official website of the next edition of the Games is already available for more information and details of the future organization. The OC of the European Universities Games 2024 will make sure that by the end of the year they will finalize the sports program, with the final list of sports that are going to take part of this edition of the games, as well as other cultural and educational events.
Mr Rakaczki, stated gratitude on behalf of the OC of EUG2024, for the presence of the attendees as well as the chance to be here and to observe the work of EUSA and the OC of European Universities Games 2022, with hopes that they will manage to organize as great games as these ones. He also expressed gratitude to EUSA office and OC for the help of organizing this reception and congratulated them for organizing such amazing Games.

President of EUSA Mr Adam Roczek, was also invited to give a short speech to the present attendees. Mr Roczek expressed his happiness to have the next edition of the Games in Hungary and he hopes that enthusiasm and great work will follow with the same flow and level in the next two years. He also mentioned that the rector of the University of Technology of Lodz and Organizational Commitee of EUG 2022, will be pleased to share and to do transfer of knowledge with the future organizers.
