EUC2021 Cycling registration opens
EUSA, together with the local organising committee, is proud to announce that registration for the very first edition of the European Universities Cycling Championship 2021 is open.
The demonstrative event, which is hoped to be the first of many more European Universities Cycling competitions, will be held between June 8 and 13, 2021 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Nijmegen is often regarded as the ‘Cycling City of the Netherlands’, with a large cycling culture amongst its population which utilise the several designated cycling lanes across the city, and is thus the perfect host city for this inaugural championship.
The local organising committee has engaged with various key stakeholders, including the City of Nijmegen and the Gelderland Province, the Royal Dutch Cycling Union, Student Sports Association the Netherlands, local universities and other strategic partners to ensure the success of this event.
The 2021 European Universities Cycling Championship will consist of four disciplines: the individual time trial, mountain bike eliminator, mountain bike cross country and a road race.
Registrations are officially open as of December 1, with participants permitted to enter multiple competitions.
Interested athletes should contact the national university sports body in their country to register. As there is a limit to the number of athlete allocations per country, early registration is advised.
