EUC Tennis 2007 progress report
The organising Committee of the 4th European Universities Tennis Championship, which is to take place December 3-9, 2007 in Moscow, Russia, has forwarded a progress report on the status and details of the championship.

1. GENERAL ORGANISATION

ACCOMMODATION
All participants will stay in the Tennis Centre Hotel.
The Tennis Centre Hotel is located on the territory of the Russian State University of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism. The nearest Metro Station is «Cherkisovskaya». The athletes will be accommodated in 2-4 place rooms and the same will apply for officials and coaches. EUSA representatives and other VIPs will stay in the Izmaylovo hotel.

CATERING
All participants will have 3 meals per day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the restaurant near the Tennis Centre.

INSCRIPTIONS
Up to 24 of October, the entry forms had been received from 25 different universities from 11 countries.

ACCREDITATION
Accreditation will be carried out at the Tennis Center. An accreditation Card will be given to each participant and official.

TRANSPORTATION
Six minibuses and one car for VIP persons will be used for participants transfer .

SECURITY
University security services will be provided safety.

INFORMATION AND MEDIA
Official INFO will be issued to all participants every 2 weeks.
The event web site is being regularly updated.
At local and national level information has been sent to several magazines and newspapers

Bulletin and Daily Information
Daily information bulletins will be issued for each Head of Delegation containing schedules, programme and results. A Bulletin with this information and with other news about the event for each day, with reports will also be published for participants.

Information Guide Book
A Guide Book is being prepared to be given to the participants at accreditation, containing:
-    Welcome messages
-    General Programme
-    Organising Committee names and structure
-    Countries - participants
-    Other Information
 
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
In the Sports Hall there will be a medical assistance team. This team will be responsible for the first aid during the Championship.

PROTOCOL
The main protocol events are the Opening Ceremony, Awarding Ceremonies and Closing Ceremony.

Opening Ceremony Programme

o    Address by the EUSA Representative
o    Address by the President of the RSSU
o    Address by the President of the RTF

Awarding Ceremony
Representatives of EUSA, RSSU, RTF and RSUPEST will participate in the awarding ceremony.
Closing Ceremony
The Closing Ceremony will take place right after the Awarding Ceremony. The programme will be:
o    Teams Parade
o    Address by the EUSA Representative
o    Address by the President of the RSSU
o    Address by the President of the RTF

ADVERTISING AND MARKETING
The EUTC advertisements were sent to EUSA member federations and the European universities. The presentation of EUTC was carried out within the framework of Universiade 2007.

SPORTS AND TECHNICAL VENUES
All matches will take place at the Tennis Centre. The Sport Hall contains 4 courts for competition events and 1 court for warming up. There will also be a Medical Office and Press Office working there.
 

3. THE IV EUTC- MOSCOW 2007 IMAGE

Poster
The information about the EUTC, OC and sponsors will be placed on the poster.

Accreditation Card
It is proposed to have 5 different Accreditation Cards: one for athletes, one for O.C. , one for Staff, one for VIPs, one for Referees and Judges.

Awards
The winners and runners-up of EUTC will be awarded with medals and cups.

Diplomas
The participants will be awarded with special diplomas.
