The city of Burdur, Türkiye will be hosting the European Universities Championship in Table Tennis, in 2025. The event will take place next summer from September 11-16.

An inspection visit was organised from December 1-2, 2024, where EUSA Technical Delegate for Table Tennis Marcin Fidala, and EUSA Sports Manager Miha Zvan, visited the Turkish southwestern city of Burdur, to check the ongoing preparations on behalf of the European University Sports Association.

Representing the Organizing Committee, present during the inspection visit were: Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Rector, Huseyin Dalgar; Sports Ministry of Türkiye provincial Representative and Youth and Sports provincial Director, Orhan Kemerkaya; OC Representatives Mert Nalbant, Emirhan Pehlivan, Serhat Adem Sop, and Adnan Dilmen.

The Inspection Visit team visited the accommodation building, the catering area, the accreditation centre, offices and then the Rectorate.

It was then the turn of the inspection of the sports equipment and materials, to discuss and check formal, technical, and logistic requirements. The meeting focused on the opening and closing ceremonies, the GTM room and the offices, and the medical room.

Following the visits were meetings regarding the accommodation and catering plans, together with fruitful discussions about the accreditation plan, the results management and live broadcasting, communications, protocol, volunteers, transportation and other relevant organisational plans.

The meetings then concluded with a visit to the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports of Burdur.

EUSA team extended its sincere thanks to the Organizing Committee for their warm hospitality. They further congratulated the OC on the impressive progress made in their preparations. The EUSA team emphasized that the organizers are striving to create a technically demanding championship while fostering a vibrant student atmosphere.
