EUC RUGBY 7's results
The 3rd European Universities Rugby 7's Champiosnhips successfully finished in Bristol (GBR). 15 university teams (10 men, 5 women) fought from June 10-12, 2009 for the titles of the European Universities Champions. The men’s final was won very convincingly by the Russian team, Kuban State University of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, beating the University of Coimbra (POR).
University of Exeter beat University of Lille in a very close women’s final.
The Home Team, University of Bristol, finished a very credible third, beating University of Limoges (FRA) in a playoff.
Gifts were presented to all teams by the University of Bristol. The main trophies were presented by Mr. Ben Ryan (England Sevens Coach), Mr. Derek Morgan (Former RFU President), Mr. Phil Attwell (EUSA EC Member), and Mr. Bob Reeves (Director of Sport, Exercise and Health - University of Bristol)
