EUC Handball 2010 concluded

271 athletes from 11 countries and 18 Universities took part in the Championship which was organized in Nicosia/Cyprus from 14th till 20th of June. Wolf Fruehauf – EUSA Executive Committee Delegate was impressed how hard Organizing Committee chaired by dr Michalis Krashias Cyprus University Sports Federation President in cooperation with EUSA Technical Delegates Mr Frantisek Taborsky and Mr Pascal Denoyer worked to provide the best conditions for the organization of the Championship.

‘Excellent work of the officials, staff and volunteers make this Championship unforgettable’ said EUSA Representative. He underlined that thanks to cooperation between EUSA and European Handball Federation refereeing level was very high.

 

Women matches

In the women finals, the University of Vincent Pol (POL) won against the Belorussian National Technical University (BLR) 37:21, and in the men finals, the result was much tighter, as INSA Lyon University (FRA) beat University of Minho (POR) 33:30.

 

Men matches

At the Closing Ceremony EUSA flag was passed to the representatives of Croatian Student Sport Federation which will organize next Championship in Rijeka in 2011.
