EUC Handball 2009 results

the 4th EUC Handball 2009 was organised in Ljubljana (SLO) from June 15-21, 2009. 12 men and 7 women university teams from 10 European countries participated on the event organised in co-operation of the University of Ljubljana, City of Ljubljana, Slovenian University Sports Association and other partners. The event started with wonderful opening ceremony. Around 300 participants were welcomed by Mrs. Andreja Kocijancic, Rector of the University of Ljubljana, Mr. Zoran Jankovic, Mayor of Ljubljana and Mr. Leonz Eder, EUSA EC Representative. The title of the champions were defended by the University of Ljubljana (SLO) in men and the University of Vincent Pol, Lublin (POL) in women competition, both winning last year in Nis (SRB).
The sports program showed very quality matches that ended with finals on Sunday. The women team from Lublin was successful also this year, while in men competition the title of the champions went to Moscow. Around all week, the participants could also enjoy a very reach cultural program, excursions around Slovenia, receptions at the City Hall and the University of Ljubljana.  More information and results can be found on the official website: www.euchandball2009.com
