EUC Football headed to Camerino in 2025

The city of Camerino in Italy will host the European Universities Football Championship in 2025. The event will take place from 27 July to 3 August.

An inspection visit was organised from 15-17 November, where EUSA Technical Delegate for Football, Mr Andreas Demetriou visited Camerino, to check on the ongoing preparations in the central Italy city that already hosted 3 EUSA European Universities Championships, in 2008, 2015 (EUC Volleyball) and 2019 (Table Tennis).

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, present during the inspection visit were: OC President and CUS Camerino President, Mr Stefano Belardinelli; Accreditations and protocol area Ms Sara Cicconi; social media manager, Mr Zakaria Bafta; teams area, Mr Fabio Sargenti; ceremonies area, Mr Marco Moscatelli; accommodation and catering area, Ms Simona Dionisi; sports venues area, Mr Luciano Antonini; transport area, Ms Valentina Gagliardi; marketing area, Mr Andrea Raffaeli and Mr Andrea Belardinelli; social life area, Mr Daniele Massimi; and volunteers area, Mr Giorgio Pranzetti.
On behalf of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Mr Alver Torresi was present.

The Inspection Visit team visited the Mayor of Camerino, Mr Roberto Lucarelli, and met the Vice Mayor of San Severino Marche municipality, Mr Jacopo Orlandi, to discuss and check formal, technical, and logistic requirements.

Following the meetings were visits to the sports venues, namely the football fields Matelica, San Severino, Pioraco and Camerino; as well as the accommodation, catering areas and other rooms that will be used for technical purposes.

Before leaving Camerino, the Rector of the University of Camerino, Prof. Graziano Leoni welcomed the delegation.

The EUSA team expresses gratitude to the OC for their hospitality and congratulates them on the excellent preparations made so far. They emphasized that the organizers are aiming to host a technically challenging championship with a strong student atmosphere.
