EUC Football 2010 concluded
The 8th European Universities Football Championship has concluded on July 25th with an exciting Closing Ceremony in Bemowo Football Center, Warsaw.
In men finals, the title of champions went to Halic University, Turkey who won a thrilling final match against Holly Cross University in Kielce, Poland.
In women finals, the title of champions went to University School of Physical Education in Wroclaw, Poland who won an exciting final match against University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Medals and awards were presented by Antonis Petrou and Andreas Demetriou - EUSA Technical Delegates for Football, Adam Roczek - EUSA Sports Manager, Marek Konopczyński - OC President, Zdzisław Brzeziński - Mayor of Piastów and Suleyman Rana and Sylwia Szmytelska from Rasio Sport Company.
Apart from medals, Best Player award, Best Scorer award and Fair Play award were attributed in both tournaments.
12 men and 7 women teams participated in this year’s European Universities Football Championship which was taking place in Warsaw, Poland between July 18 and 25, 2010. EUSA flag was in the end passed to Head of Delegation of Halic University, Turkey, as the next championship will take place in Istanbul, Turkey where teams are warmly welcomed to join the 9th European Universities Football Championship next year.
