Prof. Kamil Ozer, the Director of the School of the Physical Education and Sport of the Akdeniz University welcomed all participants and wished them a lot of successes and pleasant stay in Antalya.

The President of Turkish University Sports Federation (TUSF) Prof. Kemal Tamer warmly welcomed participating universities and underlined the role of the Akdeniz University and Colakli Municipality in the organisation of the Championship. He also said that TUSF is proud to host for the first time in history the European Universities Championship in Turkey.
The EUSA Executive Committee delegate Mr. Adam Roczek welcomed all the participants. He expressed that EUSA Championships are not only the sporting events but the social event as well, place where the European students have an opportunity to meet each other what makes the Europe closer.
The official Opening of the Championship was made by the Mr. Hasan Coskun, the Colakli Municipality Mayor.

After the Opening Ceremony the participants together with Colakli inhabitants enjoyed the cultural show: acrobatics dance group ‘Seans’ from Mongolia and the show made by the Akdeniz University Dance Club.
