ESC midterm training at the Slovenian coast
A four-day European Solidarity Corps midterm evaluation training took place from April 5-8 in Strunjan, Slovenia, organised by the Slovenian national agency Movit.
Ms Anouk Renaud and Ms Aleksandra Andreeva, both ESC volunteers with the EUSA Institute at the EUSA Office took part in the activities, together with other volunteers currently doing their service in Slovenia.
During the mid-term evaluation, the volunteers had an opportunity to reflect on their experience, evaluate it so far and promote the activities they are involved in. They also had a chance about their own projects and got inspired for new ideas, learned about methods and project implementation. The flexible programme allowed volunteers not only to get useful and practical information from professional trainers, but also to share their knowledge and interests on different topics.
This evaluation event was running in parallel with the On-arrival training organised for volunteers that came to Slovenia. So mid-term volunteers also had an opportunity to share their experience of living and working in Slovenia and to give some useful advices for newcomers.
The programme also included a trip to Piran together with volunteers from on-arrival training, where participants had an opportunity to get to know each other better through the game, as well as enjoy the view of the Adriatic Sea and amazing dinner.
Volunteering opportunities within the European Solidarity Corps are supported by the European Union, and in Slovenia by the National Agency Movit.
