ENGSO Youth Forum and Assembly
ENGSO Youth, partner organisation of the EUSA and the non-profit youth organisation of the European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation (ENGSO), organised their annual Youth Forum and Assembly in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria May 25-27, 2012. The Forum gathered 29 young people from all over Europe to learn and network.
At the opening of the Youth Assembly on Friday the President of the Bulgarian Union for Physical Culture and Sport, Professor Svetoslav Ivanov warmly welcomed the participants to Bulgaria and the event. In her welcoming speech, ENGSO President Birgitta Kervinen emphasised the importance of the participation of youth within the organisation.
Invited by the ENGSO Youth, EUSA Student Commission representative Kaisa Myllylä presented the work of EUSA and its Student Commission. ENGSO Youth Committee chair Jan Holze thanked EUSA for the organisations’ partnership, hoping to see continuation to the cooperation. Also the European Anti Doping Initiative, where EUSA has been a partner, was presented.
During the Youth Assembly the participants of the Assembly approved the Activity Report and Accounts of ENGSO Youth. The topic of the Youth Forum was “Mind the Movement”. Also the General Assembly of ENGSO took place in the same location on Saturday, May 26.
