EHF visits EUSA in Ljubljana
On 15th of November, following the kind EHF invitation sent to EUSA, on the occasion of the Women’s EHF EURO 2022, a meeting between European Handball Federation and EUSA was held in EUSA Office in Ljubljana.
At the meeting, the European Handball Federation was represented by EHF President - Mr Michael Wiederer, Mr Marcos Bestilleiro - Responsible for Competitions and Referee Operations and Mr Predrag Boskovic - EHF Vice-President.
On behalf of EUSA, present were EUSA Secretary General - Mr Matjaz Pecovnik, EUSA Sports Manager - Mr Miha Zvan and EUSA Executive Committee Member - Mr Milan Zvan.
Among the topics of discussion of the meeting, were shared tasks and responsibilities of the organization of events, as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding between the both organisations, nominations of Technical Delegates, Officials and Referees, as well as future events.
Taking place in 2023, the European Universities Championship in Handball in Podgorica, from 8-14 of July and the Championship in Beach Handball, in Malaga from 20-23 of September, were presented.
Next on EUSA Calendar wil be the Handball and Beach Handball competitions, as part of the sports program of the European Universities Games in 2024 in Debrecen-Miskolc, foreseen to take place from 12-24 of July in Debrecen.
As already atributted, presented were the European Universities Championship in Handball, to be organised in Covilha, Portugal, from 22-28 of July 2025 and Beach Handball, in Malaga from July 20-25, 2025.
Handball and Beach Handball are also foreseen to be part of the sports program for the European Universities Games in Salerno in 2026, taking place from July 18- August 1.
Upon agreement, was also the establishment of wider synergies in the field of communication between both organizations and future closer collaboration, for better promotion of EUSA Sports Events.
