CUSFs attend virtual meeting
On Tuesday, April 14, FISU hosted an online meeting with Continental University Sport Federations across the globe, in which EUSA also participated.
The meeting was naturally held online amid the current COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, which has had a wide-reaching impact, not only in the sporting world, in recent months.
Represented at the meeting on behalf of EUSA was President Mr Adam Roczek and Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik.
Following a welcome address by FISU Secretary General/CEO Mr Eric Saintrond, the impact of COVID-19 on university sports was discussed by all in attendance, following which Mr Saintrond delivered the FISU report.
Administrative matters and sports events were then discussed, along with topics related to national university sport federations.
Each CUSF then delivered their own reports, discussing their specific events and projects, before issues regarding the postponement of various events were raised.
The topics of calendar coordination as well as qualification for the University World Championships were then discussed before the conclusion of the meeting.
