The President of the Republic of Croatia Mr Ivo Josipović visited the 6th European Universities Handball Championship on July 20, 2011.

Mr Josipović met the representatives of the organising committee, along with the representatives of the Rijeka university Sports Association, University of Rijeka and the City of Rijeka. The President then also met with the volunteers at the championship.



The President attended the women's match between the State University of Trade and Economics from Russia and the University of Zagreb from Croatia. The second half was announced by throwing the ball by Mr Josipović.



The visit by the Croatian President concluded by making a group photo.
