Today we reached a magic countdown moment! The 2nd European Universities Games 2014 are only 9 months and 9 days away! It's our pleasure to announce that the registration for the 2nd European Universities Games 2014 in Rotterdam will open on December 1, 2013.

Student athletes from all over Europe will be able to compete in 10 different sports: handball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, football, table tennis, rowing, badminton, rugby 7's and futsal. The Opening Ceremony will take place on July 24 and the event will conclude on August 8 with the Closing Ceremony. European University Sports Association and the Foundation 2nd European Universities Games invite you to join us - Bring it on!

In the beginning of November, national university sports organisations in Europe will get more information about the costs, competition schedule and how to register. The national university sport federation is the only body responsible for the qualification and registration of athletes from universities of that country.

European Universities Games are governed by the European University Sports Association (EUSA), with the 1st edition organised in Cordoba, Spain in 2012. The 2nd edition will, as mentioned, take place between July 24 and August 8, 2014 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The 3rd European Universities Games will take place in Zagreb-Rijeka, Croatia in 2016, and for the 4th edition, to be held in 2018, the bidding is currently open.

The Games as such represent the largest European university multisport event, combinig 10 sports with cultural, social and educational programme.
