Chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Mrs Liu Yandong and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Mrs Olga Golodets, the 17th Meeting of China-Russia People-to-People Cooperation Committee was held in Moscow on July 4 and 5, 2016.

As one of the significant outcomes for the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding between Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC) and Russian Student Sport Union (RSSU) was signed.

Based upon the Memorandum, since the year of 2016, FUSC and RSSU will co-host China-Russia University Winter Sports Carnival, on the occasion of which the sports teams in curling, snowboarding, ice hockey, etc. from both sides will get engaged in the competitions, cultural galas as well as symposiums.



This program is aimed to enhance China-Russia cooperation in university sports and build the bridge of friendship for the youth. The Memorandum was signed by FUSC Executive Vice President & Secretary General Mr Yang Liguo and RSSU President Mr Sergey Seyranov.



The mechanism of China-Russia People-to-People Cooperation Committee was established in 2000 with the various tangible results of bilateral cooperation in education, culture, health, sports, media and other fields in recent years.
