Cooperation agreement between EUSA and FUSC

A Memorandum of Understanding between European University Sports Association (EUSA) and Federation of University Sport in China (FUSC) was signed on 21 September 2015 in Warsaw during the China - Central and Eastern European Countries Education Policy Dialogue in the presence of the Chinese Vice Minister of Education Hao Ping and Polish Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Daria Lipińska - Nalecz as well representatives of the Dialogue members countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The aim of this Memorandum is to strengthen cooperation between University Sport of China and University Sport Organizations from the Dialogue member-countries. The Memorandum was signed by the EUSA President Adam Roczek, FUSC Secretary General Liguo Yang and the President of the University Sports Association of Poland (AZS) prof. Marek Rocki.

Meeting

The Minister of Science of Poland Lena Kolarska – Bobinska and the Vice Minister of Education of China Hao Ping welcomed the guests and opened a plenary session on quality assurance. The session was devoted to the issues of internationalization, relationship between higher education and labour market and business. Afterwards a new branch – e-learning in higher education - was discussed. At the end of the session MoU was signed in presence of all Ministers.

EUSA President Adam Roczek assured that EUSA will assists in realization of initiative but the implementation will be laid on the shoulders of the dialogue members countries and that EUSA is ready to help to develop particular projects.

The FISU 1st Vice-President and EUSA Vice-President Oleg Matytsin highly appreciated the endeavours to involve closely in the international dialogue countries from Eastern and Central Europe and expressed hope that the cooperation will be tight.

FUSC Secretary General Mr Yang said that it was a great opportunity to exchange experience with the members of the Dialogue, considering long tradition of University Sport in Europe: "I believe that sport as a part of education is an important tool to build friendly relations between our countries."
