UNIVERSITY SPORTS AND THE EUROPEAN UNION

27 out of 35 EUSA-members attended the 5th General Assembly of EUSA in Ljubljana / SLO. In the charming surrounding of the city of Ljubljana, complemented by the perfect organisation of the team of the Slovenian University Sports Association (SUSA), the large programme of EC-meetings, Seminar, General Assembly and cultural excursions made the visit short-lasting and fruitful.

The Seminar "University Sport and the European Union" gave the opportunity to discuss a future involvement of EUSA in the sports politics in the European Union. A special focus was given to promising funds of the European Union for University Sports activities, well presented by Mr. Zoran Verovnik, Counsellor to the Minister of Science, Education and Sports of Slovenia.
