Mr Mario Santos, Secretary General of the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games Coimbra 2018 and Mr Joao Nascimento, Vice President of the Portuguese Academic Federation of University Sport (FADU) visited the European Universities Taekwondo Championship, which was held in Opatija between November 10 and 13, 2015. Coimbra is the next organizer of the EUC Taekwondo in 2017 and the European Universities Games 2018.

Representatives of the future EUSA events in Coimbra observed the organization of the EUC Taekwondo, promote their event in the 2017 and during the Closing Ceremony received the EUSA flag as the next event organizers. The EUC in Coimbra will host not just Taekwondo, but for the first time together also Judo and Karate, in the European Universities Martial Arts Championships.



Beside activities connected with the Championship, representatives had some meetings with representatives of the Organising Committee of the European Universities Games Zagreb-Rijeka, exchanging information and experiences. Meetings were organized in Rijeka, at the rectorate with Mrs Snjezana Prijic-Samarzija, Vice Rector University of Rijeka, Mr Marko Zunic, Secretary General OC EUG 2016 and Mr Patrik Perosa, EUSA Sports Manager, as well as in Zagreb, at the OC EUG Headquarters with Mr Zrinko Custonja, President of the OC, Mrs Danira Bilic, Sport Director, Mr Nikola Vincetic, Head of Project department and Mr Besim Aliti, Lead Project Venue Planner of the OC EUG.



EUSA Secretary General Mr Matjaz Pecovnik also met with Mr Santos and Mr Nascimento in Rijeka, discussing content of the upcoming meeting in Coimbra, which will be held at the beginning of the December.
