November 14-16 Lausanne (SUI) will host the 3rd edition of the City Events, organised by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and the GL Events Group.

The slogan of the event is Where cities meet sport, and the theme of the 2012 edition of the event is "Preparing to bid and bidding to win." City Events 2012 will take a focused look on these two aspects:

- Preparing to bid: how to get it right before the bid is launched

- Bidding to win: how to build the best possible campaign

This year, City Events participants will be able to meet some of the most influential and knowledgeable experts in the sport's bidding industry. Past bidders will tell why they believe they won (or lost!); bid campaign specialists will share some of their secrets; and organisations as licence holders will reveal what it takes to win their events.
