Boat trailers roll east for the EUC

With the start of the 7th European Universities Rowing Championship only days away the visiting nations have already despatched their boat trailers end of last week on the long road to Moscow.

The event has an outstanding entry of 137 crews from 14 nations entered in the draw, making rowing the largest EUSA event again this year. "I'm sure all our crews will have a really fantastic experience in Moscow" said Nigel Mayglothling, strong supporter of EUSA rowing events and member of the EUSA technical delegates family, "with yet another huge EUSA-entry, the magic of Moscow & the inspiring Golden Boat event at the end of our own rowing week this will be a memorable experience for all, also for our unseen heroes, the trailer drivers, some of whom will notch up over 6,000kms in the next two weeks moving our boats."

The event is also a notable double-first for Russian University Rowing, not only are the Russian Federation hosting the event for the first time but it is also the first EUSARow to see Russian University crews enter... and the host nation Universities have entered in large numbers, giving the hosts every chance of capturing the overall EUSA Salver from holders Great Britain. We will see how that & individual championships play out over a busy schedule of racing at the serene Moscow Olympic Rowing Course.
