AZS members in Vancouver 2010

Poland is one of 86 countries participating in XXI Olympic Winter Games that will begin on February 12th in Vancouver. The Polish national team consists of 46 sportsmen. 20 of them are talented members of the University Sports Association of Poland (AZS), who will fight for medals.

The biggest chance to achieve this goal have two of them: Justyna Kowalczyk and Tomasz Sikora. Kowalczyk (cross country), who is gold medal winner from the Universiade in Torino 2007 and winner of the FIS Tour de Ski 2010. Tomasz Sikora (biathlonist) won the Universiade in Zakopane in 2001 and Olympic silver medal in Torino 2006.

The Ligocki family – Paulina, Mateusz and Michal, winners form WU in Torino and world cup medalists in snowboard, will also fight for medals. In speed skating AZS supporters are looking forward to see on the podium Luiza Zlotkowska and Konrad Niedzwiedzki, who won medals during the recent Universiade in Harbin.
