AUSF concluded 2015 with an EC meeting

Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) held their last Executive Committee Meeting in 2015 in Onyang, Korea on December 30. Senior Vice President Mr Omar Al-Hai, Vice President Mr Hosung Chang, Vice President Mr Kunning Chen, Secretary General Mr Kenny Chow, Treasurer Mr Cheng Fave Seetow, Assessors Mr Dorjsul Jargalsalkhan, Mr Hisato Igarashi and the Auditor Mr Woong Yong Ha, attended the meeting.

First Mr Al-Hai thanked Dankook University for the arrangements and welcomed all the guests and EC colleagues. Due to other working arrangements AUSF President Mr Xinsheng Zhang was not able to come to Korea, but was present via video connection.

A memorandum of understanding between AUSF and Asian University Football Federation (AUFF) was signed during the meeting, aiming to jointly promote the development of football amongst Asian university students by organizing competitions and educational training programs related to sports for university students and sports officials in Asia. According to the MOU, the 3rd Asian University Football Championship also the inaugural event featuring AUFF will be held in Korea in 2016, and Korea will host the Championship for the next 2 consecutive years in 2017 and 2018. It is the brand new cooperation for AUSF and a new model has been set. Since all local costs of participation of AUFC organized by them will be covered by the OC/AUFF, it is a great encouragement to attract member countries and regions to participate in the games.

A brand new website will be launched soon. More contents and  elements will be added, making the pages fresher and more appealing. Meanwhile, the secretariat are working on the online registration system for the convenience of the participants as well as data collection.

- Futsal in Kazakhstan (April)
- Boxing and EC meeting in Tajikistan (May)
- Football in Korea (September)
- Women’s Basketball in Chinese Taipei (September)
- Men’s Basketball in Mongolia (September)
- Cycling in Korea (October)
- General Assembly, EC Meeting and Seminar in China (November)
