The Asian University Men’s Basketball Championship was held in Taipei between November 3 and 9. The 5th edition of the event was held at the new sports arena of the University of Taipei (Tian-mu Campus), the same venue will also be used for the basketball competition during the 2017 Summer Universiade.

Teams from China, Hong Kong, Korea, Macau, Mongolia, Philippines and Chinese Taipei competed over the 6 days for the title of the Champions.



The President of the Asian University Sports Federatiopn (AUSF) Mr Xinsheng Zhang along with other high AUSF officials and those from the Chinese Taipei University Sports Federation (CTUSF), along with city representatives and other guests attended the Opening Ceremony on November 3.



The event started with cultural performances and welcome speeches, followed by the oaths of players and referees.



After a week of competitions and high level matches, on the final day China and Chinese Taipei tried best to seize the most wanted champion's title.

After 4 quarters  of breath-taking competing, Team China celebrated the victory. Bronze medal was won by Hong Kong, China.
